2021 Grenache Gris
Welcome to the first release of our skin-fermented Grenache gris: an outrageously RHV-style expression of this lesser-known grape variety. Grenache gris, a mutation of the more famous Grenache, originates from the Roussillon region in southern France. This rare grape is known for its versatility in producing both white and rosé wines. Our version, however, undergoes extended skin contact, giving it an amber hue and a complex flavor profile. The wine offers notes of dried apricots, orange peel, and a touch of earthiness, balanced by a vibrant acidity and a whisper of tannic grip on the finish. It is bold, textured, and exuberantly aromatic, a great expression of the texture and elegance that fruit grown on our alpine Limestone site can possess.
